Anti-inflammation丨Pain Relief丨Pro-healing丨Reduce Swelling
Principles of Laser Therapy
High – energy laser therapy has the effects of anti – inflammation, pain relief and promoting wound healing. Research shows that it has a wide range of applications in the field of sports rehabilitation. For example, it can effectively relieve the short – term pain of tennis elbow and help improve function. It can also be used to treat Achilles tendinitis, which is of great benefit to the rehabilitation of tendons and bones.
Postoperative Humerus Fracture
a 21 years old male, fell off a horse while riding, causing a distal humerus fracture, postoperative evaluation for reconstruction.
Assessment and examination:
1. limited elbow flexion angle
2. upper limb muscle atrophy
3. scar adhesions
Treatment plan: Manipulation to release the contracture muscle group near the elbow joint, joint loosening with physical high-energy laser treatment to promote passive mobility, mainly dealing with the elbow fossa and posterior side of the scar, with electrical stimulation to activate the flexor and extensor elbow muscles to maintain active mobility.
Results: After 4 sessions of treatment, the elbow flexion mobility improved significantly, and the muscle strength improved after training.
Laser power(W) | Duty cycle | Frequency (Hz) | Treatment technique | Time(min) | Treatments |
