The structure of the flat fiber comprises the SMA905 connector, protect cap, SMA905 metal holder, optical fiber, and distal tip. The proximal end of this optical fiber probe is equipped with the SMA905 connector with air gap. The SMA905 connector serves as the fiber connection standard for all laser machines having an SMA905 port. The SMA905 connector with air gap is optimized structure for high laser transport.
The SMA905 metal holder is made to hold the SMA905 connector, which is advantageous for holding and screwing the SMA905 connector. It should be noted that the SMA905 metal holder can be customized or excluded as per the customer’s requirements.
At the distal tip of the fiber, the cladding and coating of the optical fiber are removed over a length of 5 mm, thus guaranteeing the best possible energy transfer to the target when the optical fiber probe is connected to a suitable medical laser device.
The NA 0.22 four – layered medical optical fiber with silicon coating has an optimized structure for robust flexibility.
The optical fiber is employed to transmit the laser energy from the laser machine to the desired target location, and it should be handled with care.
